Beautiful dog!

Does he prefer the fishing over eating the fish?

I remember taking Jake-The-Dog fishing for the first time, Folsom Lake in Cali. We had already been bird hunting several times, and he was good at that. When I caught my first fish, he seemed to realize that we were "hunting" but just a bit differently, he then guarded the stringer the rest of the day.

Yes, he was a smart dog. Half Brittany, half Queensland Heeler - a Blue. I took my young niece fishing, and Jake placed himself between her and the water all day. He was protecting his "herd".

That is a really smart dog (for some reason i always end up with stupid ones lol) well i cant really say that we had a lab/red setter mix she was a great dog also very smart most of time, except when she saw a cat in the yard and ran head first in to a patio door and knocked it off the runners the door ended up on th floor and then went after the cat.
