It's taken three years
« on: October 30, 2010, 11:47:02 PM »

I finally nabbed a stray cat we call Sammy. He's in rough shape which is probably the reason I was able to get him in a trap. Crossing our fingers whatever he has isnt terminal.

He's in bad shape, probably hit by a car at some point. Lots of abscesses that come and go, frost bitten ears, missing teeth etc. If he doesnt have leukemia I will get him fixed up, and get him socialized. I have someone who will give him a home.  These ferals are actually awesome house cats once they come around.

We have an ex-feral kitty. Truly a 13 pound TIGER. She picked me to be her main squeeze- everyone else is tolerated until she is tired and then it's cut and slash time. We call her psyco-kitty. Loves you one minute, the next its kick butt time....

Well I took Sammy to the mobile animal clinic yesterday. They neutered him, frontlined, dewormed, cleaned his ears and gave him a once over for $100.

Turns out he's an old guy with most teeth broken and tumors beginning to form on the back of his tongue. While it makes me sad Im in it for whatever time he has left. At least he wont die outside in the cold starving this winter.
