« on: September 14, 2011, 06:50:14 PM »

I'm thinking about ordering one of these. Anybody have any experiences?

This guy loves them.

I'm confused...

While on the subject of drum mags, anybody have any experience with the 110 round model..Can't seem to find it except for these vids...

I have the 50 round. It's ok but you can load two regular mags quicker. I think the trick is to get 5 or 10 and load them while watching TV the night before you go shooting.

I have not had a single issue with any black dog product.

I wish, Ohio limits mags to 31 rounds.

I heard that 31 was chosen to insure that Uzi 32 round mags would be banned. Don't know how accurate that is, but the law remains. A 32 round mag +a gun = a "machine gun", per Ohio law.

I've looked at the drums for 10/22s several times and have always decided to stick with the 25rd magazines. They are easier to carry and if you can find a loader a snap. Do the drums rattle?

A 50 round steel drum mag came with my Puma PPS and it wasn't very good. Broke the first time I used it. The distributor exchanged it for two 30 round mags that have functioned flawlessly. These were not BDM mags which I've heard work much better.

10 rd magazines are as bad as being asked to eat only one Lays potato chip!

Exactly...My Neos came with 2 10 round clips. They do have slides on the clips for easy loading though. But it seems like you're just starting to have fun and it's time to reload.

Black Dog Machine drums are good to go, have two of them and they work well in my AR 22lr's. Black Dog makes a good product and stands behind it form my experience. I find the drums are easier to load than the stick mags.

I've got one of the BDM drums for my Sig522, it works very well.  It is real easy to load, even easier to unload.   ;D
