How cold is too cold for the Umarex M4 to shoot reliably?
Went out yesterday in 25F weather, bolt was getting stuck back and creeping forward, Numerous Failures of every kind!

I'd say 25 degrees F then.

I think it depends on your lube. In winter I use Slide-Glide lite - says it's good to 30 degrees. Or you could get some mil spec stuff that is good at lower temps. Temperature will not affect ammunition ignition, but cold, viscous lube will inhibit your firearm from going into battery.

I used to live in Alaska and firearms (semi-auto, bolt or revolvers) will refuse to operate in the temps experienced there.
Everyone lubed their firewarms with dry graphite powder.
It's very messy and gets everywhere, but it works in the 35 degree below zero temps I saw up there.

For extreme temps I have THIS, it is good stuff, wipe on, wipe off.
